Here are some answers to some questions you might have about us or our wedding:
Q) When did you two meet?
A) We met eight years ago on a double date. We were dating the wrong people at the time, though :-).
Q) OK, then what happened?
A) Valerie stumbled upon Brook's blog on the internet last year, and the two were re-acquainted.
Q) When did you start dating?
A) November 12, 2006.
Q) When did he propose?
A) 11 months later on the beach in Florence, Oregon. And yes, he went down on one knee. And then she said yes.
Q) Why are you getting married so quickly?
A) Why not? We know each other very well, we've prayed about this and we have the blessing of our parents. We're ready to start a life together.
Q) Why aren't you getting married in a church?
A) We don't think God minds where we get married. We chose Willamalane because it's a good place for the wedding and will have lots of space for mingling at the reception afterward.
Q) What should I bring for the potluck?
A) Whatever you want. Just make sure you don't bring all the same things :-). We'll supply drinks and a few appetizers. If you live out of state, we don't expect you to bring any food, as that would be pretty inconvenient.
Q) Where are you registered?
A) We are registered at REI.com, and at Target.
